Terms and Conditions

The rules for using drivedoha.com. Each section below opens with a one line summary, then says the same thing properly.

This page covers one thing: your use of this website. It does not cover the rental itself. The rental is a separate agreement between you and the company that owns the car, agreed at the moment they confirm your booking and signed at the counter in Doha. By searching, filtering or sending a booking request here, you accept the terms set out below for the site. You accept the supplier terms separately, from the supplier.

We introduce you to a rental company. We are not one.

In short

Doha Global Group is an affiliate. Every car belongs to an independent supplier, and your rental contract is with that supplier alone.

Doha Global Group runs drivedoha.com as an independent comparison and referral service for car hire in Doha. We own no vehicles. We staff no desk at Hamad International or anywhere else in Qatar. We sign no rental agreements, we never take custody of a car, and we are not a party to the contract you eventually enter into.

What we do is narrower and worth stating plainly. We pass your dates to a supplier network, we show you what comes back, and when you choose a car we forward your request to the company that owns it. Everything that then decides your trip, the deposit, the insurance excess, the fuel policy, the mileage allowance, the age conditions and the documents you must produce, is set by that supplier under their own terms.

When a booking is confirmed, the supplier pays us a commission for the introduction. That arrangement sits between us and them. It does not add anything to the price you are quoted, it does not decide the order cars appear in on this site, and it does not make us responsible for how the rental goes.

Prices here are a live feed, not a quotation

In short

Prices and availability are read from a third party feed as the page loads, in euros, and they change during the day. Only the supplier confirmation is binding.

Nothing on this site is stored as a fixed price list. Every car, every daily rate, every deposit figure and every mileage line is requested from a live third party feed at the moment you load or refresh the page, and all of it is quoted in euros. Suppliers add stock, withdraw it, reprice it and sell out of a class throughout the day, which is why a figure you saw this morning is an indication of the market rather than an offer we can hold open for you.

The price that binds anyone is the one printed on the supplier confirmation after a booking is accepted. If a listing is plainly wrong, for example a daily rate that is a fraction of every comparable car, the supplier may decline a booking placed against it, and we may correct or withdraw the listing without notice. We also depend on the feed being available: if it is down or incomplete, this site will show less than the full market, and that is a limitation rather than a judgement about any supplier.

Where our responsibility stops

In short

We are answerable for the website: keeping it running, showing the feed faithfully and forwarding your request. We are not answerable for the car or the counter.

Because we never hold the vehicle, inspect it or take your deposit, our obligations under these terms end at the website itself. We are not liable for the condition, cleanliness or availability of a car, for a late or early handover, for a queue at the desk, for a charge a supplier adds at the counter, or for a dispute about damage or a released deposit. Those belong to the supplier named on your voucher, who holds the agreement and the vehicle record and is the only party able to resolve them.

Links from this site to a supplier page, for payment or document upload, leave our control the moment you follow them, and from that point the destination site governs what happens. We also give no guarantee that this website will be continuously available or free of error, though we would rather hear about a problem than not: the address at the foot of this page reaches a person.

None of this limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything the applicable law does not permit a business to exclude, and nothing here reduces a right you hold as a consumer under the law of your own country.

What belongs to whom on this site

In short

Read, search, compare and link to anything here. Do not harvest the feed, republish the written pages, or present yourself as us.

You are welcome to browse Doha listings without an account and to link to any page on this domain. What you may not do is scrape or automatically harvest the live feed for resale, copy the written guides onto another site, or hold yourself out to a third party as Doha Global Group or as one of the suppliers we list.

The text, structure and design of drivedoha.com belong to Doha Global Group or are used under licence, and nothing on this page grants a commercial right to reuse them. Car photographs, model names and specifications belong to the suppliers or the manufacturers and appear here for identification only. If you believe something published here infringes a right of yours, write to us and say what and where, and we will look at it.

Which law applies, and what happens to a disagreement

In short

These website terms are governed by the law of Qatar. Your rental agreement is a separate contract and may name a different law.

These terms, and your use of drivedoha.com, are governed by the law of Qatar, and a dispute about this website that cannot be settled by correspondence is subject to the courts of Qatar. That does not take away any mandatory protection you have as a consumer where you live, and if you are resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, rights your own law gives you continue to apply alongside this clause.

Your rental agreement is a separate contract with a separate governing law clause, usually that of the supplier. If a clause on this page is ever found unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay in force, and failing to enforce a clause on one occasion does not waive it for the next.

Changes to this page, and how to reach us

In short

The version live when you use the site is the version that applies. We work by email and keep no telephone line.

We revise this page when the supplier network or the law makes it necessary, and the version published at the moment you search or send a request is the one that governs that visit. Individual visitors are not notified of a change, so read it again before relying on an earlier reading.

Questions about these terms, or about a request you sent through this site, go to [email protected]. We work by email only and operate no telephone line, which keeps a written record on both sides and gets the question to the right person faster than a call would. Quote your booking reference if you have one. For a question about a car you have already collected, the supplier on your voucher will answer sooner than we can.

Words used on this page

Six terms do most of the work above. They are defined here rather than in a footnote, because the difference between a few of them is the whole point of this document.

Affiliate
A business that introduces customers to another business and is paid for the introduction. That is what this website is. It is not a word that makes us part of your rental.
Supplier
The rental company that owns the car, signs the agreement, holds the deposit and hands over the keys. Always a third party, never us.
Listing
One car as it appears on this site at the moment the page loads, with its price, deposit, mileage allowance and cancellation terms as the supplier published them.
Booking request
What you send when you choose a car and submit your details. It is a request, not a contract, until the supplier confirms it.
Voucher
The confirmation the supplier issues once a booking is accepted. It names the car, the pickup instructions and the conditions that apply at the counter.
Deposit hold
An amount blocked on the main driver's card for the length of the rental and released afterwards. Blocking is not charging, and some cars block nothing at all.
